Malabo Sunrise

Sunrise in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea West Africa

This is how sunrise here in Africa looks due to the effect of Harmattan.
Harmattan is a dry and dusty West African trade wind. It blows south from Sahara into the Gulf of Guinea between the end of November and the middle of March.

WHO KNEW THIS??? (Courtesy of Mandy Osias)

I have been driving for nearly 50 years… I would think I should have noticed the little secret on my dashboard that was staring me in the face the whole time…I didn’t…and I bet you didn’t either…

Have you ever rented or borrowed a car and when arriving at the gas station wondered…mmm, which side is the gas filler cap?
My normal solution was to stick my head out the window, strain my neck and look, try to see in the side mirrors or even get out of the car!
Well
ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to share with you my little secret so you will no longer look like
Ace Ventura on your way to the gas station or put your neck at risk of discomfort or injury.

If you look at your gas gauge, you will see a small icon of a gas pump?
The handle of the gas pump will extend out on either the left or right side of the gas pump?
If your tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left? If your tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right (see photo). It is that simple!

Don’t feel dumb, just go out and share the world’s best kept auto secret with your friends.

Am I Weird? No! I’m Not! – Written by Gilbert Jay Orbeta

A young teenage boy full of life, full of dreams and hope….A picture of God’s magnificent work.

Everyday he goes to school with his skateboard and sometimes with his guitar and speaker. Indeed, for those who did not really know him, they will say that he is unusual and different from other boys in the school; they might also say that he has his own world.

After classes, you will often see him in one corner of the school ground strumming his guitar and singing his favorite music alone. And in the absence of his guitar, he is in his skateboard, playing around the basketball court as if he is the only one around. Imagining, that he is like a bird soaring up in the sky releasing the stress of life.

Obviously, his hobby is extraordinary, seldom boys like his age lack interest both in playing guitar and skateboard. But for him, they are worthwhile hobbies and something that can be proud of.

In playing guitar, he is able to shows his inner emotion towards life. He is also able to convey his loneliness, happiness, defeat and victory. Music is life itself for him.

When he rides in his skateboard, he feels his freedom to live in this wonderful world that God created for him. He feels that he is like flying toward the realization of his dream and reach his success.

With these two hobbies, he attains happiness that nobody around him could give.

His beloved parents understand him because they know that he is like other teenage boy that can be trusted, obedient and God fearing.

Now, tell me, if I’m weird. I will directly answer you that…No! I’m not!

The Difference Between http & https

**The main difference between http:// and https:// is It’s all about keeping you secure** HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol,

Which is just a fancy way of saying it’s a protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking) For information to be passed back and forth between web servers and clients. The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP and HTTPS.

The S
(big surprise) stands for “Secure”. If you visit a website or webpage, and look at the address in the web browser, it will likely begin with the following: http://.

This means that the website is talking to your browser using the regular ‘unsecure’ language. In other words, it is possible for someone to “eavesdrop” on your computer’s conversation with the website. If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an http website! But if the web address begins with https://, that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

You understand why this is so important, right?

If a website ever asks you to enter your credit card information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://.

If it doesn’t, there’s no way you’re going to enter sensitive information like a credit card number.

It uses a washable, mineral oil – based formulation and its biodegrable since, it is derived from advantage against other well known repellents which are chemical based in formulation. The Atis Lotion is composed of: 10.125% mineral oil, 1.02% Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, 9% Propylene Glycol, 0.22% Methyl Paraben, 0.135% Propyl Paraben, 70% water, and 10% plant extract.

Application of the Technology:

Atis Lotion Mosquito Repellent is a personal care products used in preventing mosquito bites which cause itchiness, inflammation and discomfort to individuals.

Possible Areas of Technology Application:

Atis Lotion is a practical alternative in preventing incidence of mosquito – borne diseases like dengue, malaria, and filariasis especially in areas where incidence is high.

Market:

As of 2000, Philippine population stood at 85 million Filipinos. Figures show an average annual rate of increase of 2.3% from 1995 to 2000. The estimate for 2007 is 88.7 million and 94 million Filipinos for 2010. Out of total population of 85 million, 48.5% are located in the urban areas and 51.5% are located in rural areas. The population growth is worth considering since the product to be marketed is a consumer product whose potential demand directly grows as the populations grows.

The Prius is Coming to Town

Toyota Prius

Toyota Prius

The environment-friendly Prius will be plying Philippine roads by the middle of the year. According to reports from national dailies, Toyota Motor Philippines vice chairman Alfred Ty said the company has just received the go-signal for the local distribution of the Prius from the Toyota head office in Japan.
Toyota earlier said the Prius, a hybrid electric car, is not ready for the Philippine market due to local road conditions. Ty was quoted saying, however, that “things have changed” particularly for the hybrid.
“There’s a market for that here, that’s why we’re bringing it here,” Ty added.
The Prius made its commercial debut in Japan in 1997 before it was sold globally in 2001. (Top Gear Philippines)

Inspiration

time travels swiftly…

streaming on panels of infinity

as raindrops racing on tarpaulin

flying to the inevitable

small pools,

pockets of pondering

wait for evaporation

but…

as they linger in the twilight,

organisms of wonder multiply…

into

new thoughts for tomorrow. (By Graeme King)
